1. Valentino Rossi
2. Kenny Roberts 3. Garry McCoy 4. Max Biaggi The top four will be a class apart 5th could go to a number of riders. I would like it to be either Jurgen van den Goorbergh or Chris Walker. Optimistic, but more likely than Alex Criville finishing top five. |

I believe those top 4 are all so good that on a track by track basis NOBODY can give a good opinion for that weekend's results till the day before the race based on inside pit info on how all their tire's are working, how their chassis' are working, and how the rider is feeling.
If that is the case... the Champion will be the guy with the most consistency, and the most appreciation for accumulating points.... and that is ....Kenny Roberts. The rest is purely circunstantial, based on who has more crashes, and who has more "bad chassis" days. Kenny Roberts will bore you all the way to the Championship. By the way.... the top four are... Rossi, McCoy, Roberts, and Haga. And... There is one wild card in here in my mind. Haga It is possible that this is where his riding style belonged all along, and that he could come away with the most wins for the season. Only he and Yamaha testing people know as of now. |

First Five
No doubt about how is gonna win it.
1. Rossi Others are harder to predict. Carlos, if he is consistant, will stand a good chance so he will be, 2. Checa 3. Kenny Roberts 4. Capirossi 5. McCoy |

Mind you, I wouldn't want to attempt to pick the top 10 in the correct order. |
