Despite the shenanigans, it was yet another boring race. It's been the same for years at this track. Why can't they redevolp the track at least to give the drivers a chance at overtaking?

After the first 10 laps, I thought it was going to be a procession. Then it all got more interesting, although wasn't a thriller.
+1 Webber win +1 Change of WDC leader +1 Rubens giving it to TGF despite the dangerous situation. 7 |

6- alright, but the gaps between drivers were quite big so there were never many battles. |

...surprisingly entertaining for reasons I didn't expect.
1. Webber's dominant drive to open the huge gap for his pit stop. How can he be setting fastest laps on 42-lap old option tires, when everyone else's were going off so quickly? 2. Alonso managing to hold off a faster Vettel for so long. 3. Barrichello nailing Schumacher. (BTW - I think it's time for Heidfeld to replace Schu, starting with Spa. Give Michael his gold Rolex, a pat on the head -- or a kick in the butt -- and send him on his way before he kills someone.) Between Webber and Alonso, there was a lot of drama. I'm really happy that no one was hurt in the pits by Rossberg's errant tire. Man, that was scary to see. I hope I never see something like that again. And a huge thumbs down to Renault's flagman. |

the track is not OK. We can agree to disagree if you want, but over teh years there have been more dreadful races here than any other track I can think of.

Wasn't the best race of the year but it was pretty good.

So it needs the FIA to spice up a race by randomly sending out the safety car. Rubens move on the Schmumichel was hard fought but except this there was absolutely nothing to be cheerful for.
2 , if there wasnt chellos move it would be 1 Last edited by Andy77; 1 Aug 2010 at 14:18. |

Gave it a 2 this time around.
An absolute snorefest, but at least the oldtimers made it a bit "interesting" at the end. |

For Hungary, it was relatively good so I gave it a 4. I always expect the worst here though, almost the entire circuit has the effect of stringing the field out. Even Rubens on much fresher tyres really struggled to get through.

7, some passing but a couple of spanners in the works made it interesting.

9. Hungaroring finally produces. Penalties, risky overtaking moves, strategy, great stuff!

Even when the cars could provide better racing than the current breed, Hungary always seemed to produce a boring parade, save for races governed largely by external incidents, such as today's. Even today, there wasn't much racing, other that the incidentals. Bernie, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: drop Hungary! |

Gave it 7. It had a its moments, especially at the end with Schumy and Rubens, also the TV director did an excellent job with the coverage.

True, the coverage was one of the better ones. But I don't like that new perspective at the start where the cam sits rather low. It sucks, you can't really see a thing. It's even hard to really see the first row cars in comparison to each other, let alone all other cars. Destroys the whole suspension of the start and given that this is most interesting part of some races, it's a bad decision.

4/10
A disappointing weekend all in all. Race threatened to come alive with the SC but never really did. Congrats to Webber but it was a walk in the park quite honestly, such was the performance of the Red Bull. On one hand, at least Vettel and Webber are still in competition with eachother, but for the first time in years I was reminded of the dark days of 2002/2004 where one car was just so dominant, much of the excitement was sapped. |

Thank god for the safety car, it added some excitement to an otherwise boring race.
How bad is a track when a driver can be 1.5seconds a lap quicker than the guy in front of him and he is still not able to pass him. |

I think 7 is about right, but it would have been far less without the Safety Car and consequent excitement.

entirely adequate - 7.
it's different for all viewers of course, depending on who or what they take interest in, but i found the race to be engaging for the majority of laps. |
