Contactless rev counters
Has anyone go any info on the Contactless brand of rev counters. Seems to have been used in both F1 and in the german DTM-series in late 80s early 90s

Are you sure you mean "Contactless" as a brand? There are many contactless instruments about - I have a contactless speedometer myself. I'm sure there are various contactless tachos which run off flywheel teeth, timing belt drive pulleys or their own timing wheels.

Judging from the Mercedes and AMG badges, its possible they are made by (or directly for) Mercedes and that the "contactless" badge is simply a feature like "injection" or "turbo". It may not, of course. Have you tried asking in the WTCC and European Touring Car forum? Someone there may have come across them.
