Focus For Boland

Eamon Boland has purchased jj flemings focus yesterday,he is doing Galway summer in it as a shake down. Apparently will be going back to the lovely hertz paint job.

In fairness to Eamon, he's probably clostest to the pace of the top 3, they being Donnelly, Nesbitt amd Del boy. I know he won Cork 20 a couple of years ago but he's still that fraction off the absolute pace. I hope the Focus makes the difference, he's been going well this year.

i seen this too. didn't see the car though. sounds great to have it in hertz livery. hope the results improve for him. hope he goes well in galway. wonder how he'll fair against the other focus of breen which is basically identical.

Maybe out of the blocks but Boland is alot quicker than Breen, he is on a higher pace than Ray, he's outpacing McHale, McNulty, like i've said before he's the best of the rest after the Genie, Del boy and Nesbitt. Once again wish him the best of luck, hopefully win no.2 ain't far away.

One question for you about Eamon, why are his cars nearly always painted differently every year, I mean this years car has Skoda livery on it nearly, paart from the Hertz days his cars always seem to have a livery that bears no relation to anything he has previously driven!

Probably because he has his hand in so many diferent pies. He owns or has shares in at least five/ six companies in ireland that I know of and probably a few more that I don't know. Hertz, NVD car transporters, a chain of main dealers etc..

I thought as much, maybe it is a situation where he can get some of the cash he spends on the cars back if he advertises a seperate company on each one as advertuising revenue!
