Why I'm Sad
...Not that anyone really cares, but...
I should be really pumped up right now. The suitcase and the cooler should be packed, the tent and sleeping-bags should be in the van. We should have been leaving Saturday morning for my favourite day of the year, the Michigan 500. But we're not. We're staying home so I can watch Vancouver on the TV. |

It does seem weird to have Vancouver in the middle of the summer. But hey, we almost didn't have it at all!
I sympathize. I'd hate having to stay home and watch Le Mans on TV. |

Thanks, Liz. But my problem is: The Le Mans 24h was cancelled in favour of a supermodified event at the same venue.
Anyway, sorry for even starting this thread. I was feeling "cheated" around the first part of June when the Detroit GP should have been run, too. So I'm sorry that all of you had to hear me whine. I'll get over it. I've really got no room to talk, anyway. There's always Cleveland, Mid-Ohio and Toronto that are driving distance. Even Montreal and Chicago are conceivable. I could be living some place like Catalonia or something! |

well, here you get to see F1 and bikes. It's not bad, but not great.
And incredibly, being a super fan of F1 too, I haven't gone to the race yet.... |

Hmm, I see your point. And if they tried to tell you that the supermodified event was even better than the Le Mans 24 Hours ...
