JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Next Stop The Brdc Walter Hayes Trophy

After the fun of the Festival, next stop for FF1600 is the BRDC Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone.

Entries are still available, and forms for FF1600 competitors can be obtained by emailing me or downloading from the Walter Hayes Trophy Events section of the BRDC website www.brdc.co.uk

Testing is bookable for the Friday (through Silverstone Motorsport - not operated by the BRDC). Please call the Silverstone offices directly for further information on that front.

If you plan to enter the Walter Hayes Trophy, and have not yet, could I urge you to return your application to me as soon as possible so that the draw for the heats can be conducted in a fair way, with all competing names available to us.

I will update through this website, the official Walter Hayes Trophy website www.brdc.co.uk and through ClubFF1600.

Please contact me if I can help at all.

James has told me he'll pass some entries on to www.clubff1600.co.uk soon.

What we do know is that as of last Thursday 54 entries were confirmed. Last weekend, I had a lot of conversations like this:

Me: So, are you doing the Walter Hayes Trophy?

Driver X: Yes I am, and so is Driver Y.

Me: Excellent, have you put in your entries?

Driver X: No, not yet.

So, on the basis of that I reckon it will be up to at least 65...

I was planning to make a competitive (or rather not so competitive!) return for the WHT.

However I am officiating at Brands Hatch on the same weekend and have yet to master the whizzardry of being in 2 places at once.

However I might be out for the winter series...

Mr Sproston dear sir, Master Ian Gough is scouting for a suitable chariot for the WHT. What better than a little used Ray?
What inter team rivalry that could bring us, with goughy out in a NorthStar 04 and JnrJnr out in your Medina Sport Ray.
If each team parked up at opposite ends of the garages, how nice it would be to see kartingdad absolutely ker nackered hot footing between the two camps.

If you to drive at the WHT meeting, but can't find a FF1600, consider the Silverstone Race School events. They will have drives available in the Van Diemen and Zeus Zetecs and also the Formula Firsts, contact the school for details.

The team thing should be good! would be especially good if all teams had a team name "sticker" on their car!

why can't I read www.***********.co.uk ???

every serious team should have stickers! No dount Matt Rivett will be on hand from Friday onwards to supply them! £10-£15 per team should do the trick!

If Matt wants to advertise he can pay like everyone else. See 'Advertising Opportunities' at the top of the page.

No, Matt's was an ad, you repeated it, and so I deleted it again.

This is a commercial site funded by advertising, so we don't allow free advertising. Simple.
