Tricky.
From 5 as a starting point: -1 for SC start -1 for whiny drivers -1 for the amount of time lost in red flag situations -1 for tyres -1 for crashes +10 for the number of drivers passed by Verstappen So 10 |

Going to give it an 8. Yes, there were too many SCs, red flags and restarts - but it came alive at the end - and also because of F1's next superstar - Max!

An 8, purely for Verstappen.
The rest sucked. Also Charlie Whiting should take his balls out of his purse and get on with it. |

8 for me, would of been a ten if Massa had finished in the points.

First half of the race was rubbish - but the second half was remarkable! Max was phenomenal, of course, with one of the most nonchalant catches of the year, if not the decade, but lots of people performing way better than you'd predict. Rosberg lacklustre, I guess playing the percentage game....but I'd have liked him to show some spirit
The reception for Massa was wonderful 8 - only because of the 2nd red flag call which was.....silly. |

A very chaotic race, without much continuity except for the Red flag and the SC but there was a result and probably the same result, if it were a dry race.
4 because the rain made a difference. |

6, too much time under SC, but at least the racing was good when it got going and we saw drivers all doing what they are paid to do, especially Max. And the atmosphere from the fans was great too. Even Gary Lineker was impressed by the drivers in the race

Tricky one: in the end I gave it 8.
Primary reason was the spectacular charge of Verstappen towards the end. Reason for not scoring higher: safety cars, of course. If the track isn't safe to race on, wait until it is. Don't trundle round behind a road car for lap after lap. This was one time when edited highlights came into their own. If I'd had to watch the delayed start, the safety car bits and the red flag stoppages, I imagine it would have been a 6 or 7. |

8 - but only because of the last few laps, which by themselves I would have given an 11.

Love the track and generally like wet races, but painful first 3/4s, oddly timed start / restarts given conditions, Massa crashing out, lots of laps behind the SC....Max saved the show again but it was a bit too late for me. Overall disappointing.

Time for him to go, and join Ron and Bernie (soon enough) in honourable(?) retirement. |

The race was horrible with red flag after red flag in a very light rain. The rain tires were just plain dangerous and need to be improved before someone gets hurt.
And Charlie with his safety car was causing more problems than he was solving. Running behind the safety car lap after lap just cooled the tires and sent numerous cars off on the first racing lap. Not smart Charlie. |
