Roosendaal
Hello everybody,
A new track, in the southern Dutch city of Roosendaal. At 4km from the intercity-trainstation, 2km from the motorway and 40km from the major city of Antwerp in Belgium, it is conveniently located. Let's do a tour around the track. It starts at the 950 meters long straight, that leads into a hairpin. Accellerating fast through 2, the drivers reach the doubleapex turn 3. The kink at 4 makes the entry in the rivazza-esque turn 5. The exit is very important, especially for high downforce cars. Because they may be able to take the turns 6 & 7 at full speed. that creates a 1km stretch into the heavy brakingzone for turn 8. Motorcyledrivers, touringcarsdrivers or any driver in the rain however must be on their toes in the turns 6 and 7. After turn 9, skills will be tested hard in the last 2 turns. The entry into turn 10 is blind, the exit is fast, and the track will never be completely straight while accelerating from turn 10 and braking (well, lifting the thottle) for the fast, slightly tightening very important last corner. The lenght of the track is just over 4km. Compliments, remarks, critisism or jokes about the bridge are offcourse very much apreciated. |

Seems like a great oldschool track. I can almost see Lauda, Fittipaldi and Scheckter on it

... and, since it's in Holland, I guess we don't have to deal with elevation details here
