Christopher Evans
Just been told Christopher Evans Astra is nearly complete (about time). Should be ready for the Mondello in a few weeks. Some pics on his website
www.christopherevansracing.com, certainly looks the part in yellow, also mention of a new purposeful looking rear spoiler. |

That is indeed very yellow! Good to hear he's going to be back on the scene this year!

It does look very good. Will it be the same colour scheme as the Micra?
Does anyone know Christophers plans for 2005? Is he doing any rounds in BRDA and RSS as well as the Irish championship? |

last I heard he has only commited to doing the Irish championship as the uncertainty with RSS and BRDA rounds dragged on.
By the way how could you do any work in that garage it looks far to warm and clean for a garage. You would be forever worrying about the next bit of gearbox oil you would drop on the shiny floor. Last edited by Roundy Mooney; 22 Feb 2005 at 08:35. |

Looks very tasty, Irish championship should be a cracker! I believe entry fees in Ireland are only €170/£120.

There was a change of plan as it would mean modifying the exhaust and gearchange mechanism and lots of other little things so they decided to leave it as it was and Chris got a lhd road car to familiarise himself with sitting on the wrong side

It should be at Mondello Park, providing Bardy and his team can get the car finished in time. The cars second event will be the RSS event at Croft, after they test the car at the official RSS and test and media day Blyton in April. After this Chris plans a full irish champs, RSS and ERC events. |

The first time you will probably see the car will be at the RSS test and media day at Blyton on April 17th, from what Ive heards there should be quite a few cars especially supercars going there. Chris is racing a supermodified Ford Orion at Mondello today in order to try and ge tinto the A Final and get some points to ensure he gets some points before the Astra is ready. |

I know it will be oin the new website when it is launched this week. The test and media day will take place at Blyton on Sunday 17th April 2005. It is open to all cars from all classes and testing can take place in sessions between 9am and 5pm. The cost of the test day is at a heavily reducded rate of 70pound. A form will be realesed on the new website and forms will be sent to all registered drivers. It will be a full day of testing but also used as a media day for the new RSS. |

This is reading like a Press Release. Please be careful not to use this forum as a promotional area.
BTW. If they need help with their website my rates are very reasonable. Last edited by Peter Mallett; 6 Mar 2005 at 15:53. |

Ugh, well the Orion managed to paint about half the circuit with oil today and leave a fan belt controller in the middle of RallyX 2..........
