This experienced hand beat the impressive rookie mj088 by one point, although the latter is now leading the title battle from TrapezeArtist by five points.

What happened

wolfhound was one of four people to predict Verstappen as the race winner, the same four to predict the top two of Verstappen and Hamilton, but the only one to predict the podium finishers in the correct order.

He also got five people in total in their exact finishing positions (also guessing Ricciardo and Gasly in 6th and 7th); the closest anyone got to that was three.

wolfhound was one of six entrants to get eight out of the top ten finishers in some order (Bottas and Pérez's absences were the typical anomalies).

Five people predicted Verstappen to qualify third, but nobody put Pérez in their top three qualifiers.

In addition, nobody got any of the following:

- that it would be a mixed race (in terms of weather).

- that Mercedes would win the fastest pit stop competition for the first time in 43 races (ending Red Bull's ten race winning streak).

- that Norris would win Driver of the Grand Prix (steve_r was also the only person to predict that he would win the formula1.com poll).

- Ocon in their top ten.
