Sam Hornish Jr. & Scott Sharp in 2006 IROC field

IROC has announced the 2006 IROC field, and Sam Hornish Jr. and Scott Sharp will represent the IRL IndyCar Series. Dan Wheldon was to get an invitation but has testing with Ganassi getting in the way. Danica Patrick was also considered but didn't get an invitation.

April 7th, Texas Motor Speedway
June 29th, Daytona International Speedway Road Course
October 28th, Atlanta Motor Speedway




IROC wanted to invite Champ Car drivers but scheduling conflicts stopped them from doing so.
