What about the RFH Dome Judd?

What about 'm really?

So far,I've heard Jan Lammers is also using the 5.5 Liter Judd engine and has full factory support from the Dome factory, but news has been scarce the last weeks...
Well apart from the chassis arriving soon ofcourse.

Us as group Drinking for Holland have done a Workshop Visit in the week prior to our departure for Sebring. We were guided by Jan Lammers himself for about two hours and had a fantastic time, both Jan and Mariska are very good hosts.
We have seen only some aerodynamic changes, the dummy was on it's way back from England having had a crash test. The new chassis was due to arrive on the 13th of March, which means the crew only had about 11 days to get the car together for the first test this Sunday. This is probably why the news has been scarce lately, they're kinda busy...
Racing for Holland has good prospects for 2007 with a new Dome chassis, an upgraded engine and Michelin tyres...

This is us at the Workshop, Friday 2nd of March.

Nope, nothing yet. Jan is looking for a major sponsor, no more black 'n white balls or squares.

We'll have our logo on the Dome again, but it will definitely be small - and probably tucked away as we have a beer glass in our logo

That's good to hear. A major sponsor will bring a little more security. Also a change of livery is good for us too.

I'm sure Dome's increased involvement will ensure the programme goes ahead as expected, but I take it Jan has yet to actually find a major sponsor?

He said he was still looking on our visit on the 2nd of March, but I guess that could have changed any day after that. I presume Jumbo will be on the Dome again, don't know about Corus...

Jan was very positive about the two races (Ohio & Atlanta) in the ALMS as well, that has probably all to do with Dome's involvement. As a consequence about five from our group will go to Petit Le Mans to support Racing for Holland.

Yeah that's what I think as well. It's really pathetic that one of the greatest racing driver of our country has so much trouble finding a sponsor. It's not like he is ever an also run at Le Mans. I do think David Hart has brought in some money, but then again I know what Jeroen Bleekemolen charges, so I am sure Jan can use a lot more money.

That GV5.5 really requires a large rear deck.

I imagine it might look better once painted, or at least when it's one color.

Dutch fans.

no idea where else to say this, but...
people of holland, i salute you.
so much enthusiasm for motorsport!
at donington lms last year the only flags i saw were dutch, and even though they (unfortunately) had little to cheer, their spirits stayed as raised as their flags. if only british fans were as good towards their sportscar stars.

Cheers for the compliment minimangler.
However,I have to say that the brits are pretty enthousiastic as well, especially when visiting Le Mans.
The dutch and the brits allways seem to get along very well on that party!

Le Mans is, of course, a British race ( )..........

............but you Dutch fans have us well and truly whipped when it comes to visual impact. The orange haze that descends in front of the tribunes during the build-up to the race and again at the end has become a tradition at Le Mans which would be sorely missed if it were absent from the proceedings.

Respect to you guys. Great fans, great people, great fun (roll on June)!

Incidentally, the car looks magnificent (even in it's current unpainted form). I'm fairly convinced that with the new Judd engine, we'll see Jan on the podium at least once this year despite stiff competition.

i think perhaps a zandvoort lms race isnt far away? hmm actually didnt they get noise restricted? so perhaps somewhere else in that vague netherlands-ish direction? the crowd would be big, right?
i actually wish i could speak dutch, to catch some of the crazy support of anything orange. we brits are patriotic, but easily bored. however, i'd like to add i support gt racing as a whole, and if that means germany, britain, france or whoever, i'll support it =]

I think Zandvoort is more a formula circuit than a circuit for GT and LMP cars. They can better drive on Assen than.

Sadly,it is the socialistic/environment politics now that prevent any majorleague raceclass other then one DTM race and A1GP race to take place. Just a month or so ago,Zandvoort applied for more "sound dates" (current is 5) but their request was rejected by the blabla and soandso court...
Whilst it would be a great injection for the town of Zandvoort to have the 20 dates they asked for,the powers that be are against it. This childish fight has been going on for many years now.
Mind you, however great a track Zandvoort is,it is still(as far as I know) the ONLY track which actually has a soundprotection wall between the track and the spectators ! (from the beginning of the main straight till pitentrance)

Sad.

As long as we're present, we make sure people see us. Or not, as this old French geezer had noticed as he was a little too close for comfort during the drivers parade at LM'06

Anyway, thanks for the complitments guys, that makes it all worth while!

And Badger, please try and make it to our pitch on Maison Blanche this time on Friday night. That's the third invitation in a row now!

Yep, the same reason why the LMS will never return to Jarama or Donington. Too small a pitlane, too narrow a track. Spa is fine, Assen is too much a bikers circuit. Maybe Zolder would be an alternative.

But basically we need more spectators in the LMS series. An average of 2.500 is plain silly!
