Pantano, I think. He went mad at the Damon concert after.

Perhaps I should expand.
Full name: Giorgio Pantano He finished 2nd in the F3000 championship driving for Coloni (after Enge lost his Hungarian win). Here is a picture of him climbing the stage while Brian Herta goes punk! http://www.damon-and-the-conrods.co....2/P8110032.jpg The way he dances is very similar to the way he drove the last lap in the Monza round! He seems to me to be an exciting driver with quite a bit of talent. I don't know what he's up to next year. Last edited by Adam43; 4 Oct 2002 at 10:36. |

Pantano was seen having an espresso with Jean and Luca in the paddock earlier this year. The Italian media went mad. Expect to see him in a test drive next year.

I think he has had three wins this year in F3000 and Monza last year. He won the F1 race at Donington that day (with Chris Eubank).
Thunder in the Park was quite good. Did you go to the concert after? What did you think? |

Inigo, do you know who he will test with? Is it a proper test driver contract.
Apparently he has already had a couple of tests for Benetton and one with McClaren. |

It's definitely not Pantano, I think it's Matteo Bobbi who drove one of the 2 seaters and currently races in the Spanish Nissan 2000 championship.
Giorgio did go mad up on stage didn't he! He is a great bloke, super character. I've done 3 F3000 paintings for his manager Lars-Christian Brask ( Team Brask) this year of his victories. Recently finished the Spa one. Want to see them? I'll post them if anyone is interested. |

They do look a bit alike - easy to think it was Giorgio.
GP had much shorter hair than the picture of (I think) Matteo. I took a shot of Giorgio's mug at the Donington event for one of the paintings as LC Brask wanted his portrait on it too. |

Adam..It was an easy mistake. I might be wrong about it being Bobbi! But I can't think who else it could have been.
Here's Pantano taken that day. |

A few more 'celebs' at Donington for the 2 seater meeting.
Gabrielle on the left with Stoddy on the right. My partner just had to pose with them! |

Cool photos. Cheers.
There are a few of the concert on www.damon-and-the-conrods.co.uk Cool Johnny Walker pic. He's a big F1 fan. Ask us all before the concert if we supported Michael or Montoya... The 2 seater drivers were: Giorgio Pantano Christijan Albers Alex Yoong Damon Hill Paul Stoddart Matteo Bobbi David Saelens Mark Webber so I think guessing at Bobbi is probably spot on. (There could have been others wearing Minardi gear?). |

Unless it was one of the passengers? There were 102 rides given over the 3 days!
Adam, the Pantano paintings are posted on another thread just now. |
