I think we can expect to see Mark Webber on the grid next year. Also, as usual, you can expect a new lineup at Minardi. I think Paul Stoddart may try and convince Flavio to loan Webber to Minardi.

There will also be a few new drivers were not expecting, like Bernoldi and Raikkonen this year.

What I reckon will happen -

McLaren - both drivers will remain, unless Hakkinen retires, in which case I reckon they'll throw a heap of money at Raikkonen or bring Wurz in, depending on his testing efforts.

Williams - both drivers will remain

Renault - both drivers will remain. Button may be told to pack em if he doesn't lift his game. If this happens, Trulli, Webber or Alonso will get the seat.

BAR - Honda will buy out the team and both drivers will stay.

Jordan - They'll be left without an engine deal - I don't know what they'll run, but they might run this year's Honda under a Mugen name. Both drivers will stay, unless Trulli heads to Renault, Zonta, Button, Webber (Eddie was interested in testing him before he signed with Benetton) or Justin Wilson will come in.

Arrows - Bernoldi will be sent on his way. Not sure who'll replace him. Maybe Button (if kicked out of Renault), Wilson or Webber (not sure if Tom and Webber are on speaking terms).

Sauber - Heidfeld will stay, but Raikkonen will be fielding offers from left right and centre. I think he'll stay unless McLaren or Williams throw a massive amount of money at him. If he goes, I've got no idea. Maybe one of the previously mentioned rookies, or another one. Button, Alonso, Zonta and Wurz may also get a go.

Jaguar - both drivers will remain, although Kenny Brack and Dario Franchitti will get tests in the off-season.

Minardi - will run Asiatech motors. Alonso will stay for another year unless Flav wants him back. Marques is gone. Webber is almost a certainty for this seat if he doesn't get another. Tomas Enge may be another possibility. Or a pay driver.

Prost GP - Alesi may retire. Burti will stay. Not sure on Jean's replacement. Previously mentioned drivers are a chance. Also Stephane Sarrazin is a chance.

At this stage it's very early, but I'll give it a blind bash.

I guessing (or it may be hoping) that Minardi will keep Alonso and get Webber along with the Renault factory deal. Tarso, if still here at the end, will be gone.

I think Mika will call it a day, Burti may struggle to keep a seat (I know he has a contract but that means nothing at Prost), and Bernoldi may go for someone with even more $$$.

Not alot of seats coming up, so Zonta, Gene & Wurz may struggle to find there way back in.

I'm not sure DNQ about the suprises, there are to many "Panis's" waiting in the wings.

Oh yeah, Toyota will be there too.

Salo will obviously be one driver, but I'm not sure about the other. McSquish might get it. After all, he will have had a whole year of testing to get to grips with the car. I'd like to see Squishy get it, but I reckon Toyota will throw some dough at one of the current crop. Maybe Raikkonen or Button.

"Yes, they're lining up on the grid! The lights are on, the rev's are rising! What do you think, Mika, are we in for a classic Schumacher brothers battle???"

"Uhh...ummm....Martin, uhhhhh.... I think......Yes, maybe...uhhhhhh...."

"Let me cut in here, Mika, will you were speaking there's been an enormous shunt in the first corner and the cranes are already clearing the cars away!"

im sorry to be critical, but the only way that i can understand mika is when i look at his mouth actions...but if he commentated, it would be disastorous.

it really is too early to gauage whos gonna be driving - even 2 weeks b4 the start of the season - remember PDLR and minardi didnt even have a car!!!

Marques will be gone.
Villeneuve will either move to Mclaren if Mika retires, Renault sport(Benetton) or Williams, if Montoya gets sacked.
Button will get sacked at Bennetton, If Montoya doesn't perform then he will leave as well.;
Sauber will stay the same.

Luca will quit Ferrari and get a race drive for a half-decent team like Sauber. Expect to see Luca on the grid in Melbourne 2002!
