the rules demand 5 cms or approximatly 2 inches
we usually add half an inch for peace of mind my advice if the hoop is not high enough build a tough higher one you can only compromise your seating so much to get under the hoop in the end, its your neck personally; i value my neck A LOT RE |

Too right it is!!! I would seriously not go lower. Can you not get a made to measure hoop done? What would happen if you got forced off over a high kerb.?? That could certainly make your eyes water,at best.

can one not recline a little ? I had this issue in the Tornado, but a change of seat made a world of difference.

I assumed single seaters...
when I read ROP there, as a rule, the sky is the limit to roll hoop height different in touring cars, of course RE |

As someone has suggested, cant you find some more space under the seat-different drillings to standard in the mounts.?

I thought you were originally talking about a single seter Eric.Had a similar problem with a Griffith.Ended up cutting the floor out were the seat mounts, welded two two inch wide straps to the chassis at desired depth and then glassed over it.No way would the seat move from its new mountingg points.
