Lots of single-seater design-elements on that one... looks almost like those rebodied Open-Wheelers that raced in Can-Am II or the Interserie, albeit with a roof, of course.

looks like a pretty nice looking car. Would be nice to see the LMP2 field boosted up further. Have any possible teams been cited to race this car though? would be quite a risk for an established team to move away from say a Lola or Zytek to a new and un-proven car.

No offense meant to Bailey, but frankly this doesn't look any more serious then it did back in April. That the last update on that page is April certainly doesn't increase that case...

Fair point ..... but why would they plaster sponsorship all over it if they didnt have it ..... that would be illegal ?
Im not saying it will be sucessful ..... just saying it looks likely with that amount of sponsorship already secured . |

Definitely a nice looking car but is it within the rules to see through to the rear of the car along the cockpit between the wheel tracks? Also have to agree that they may need to find a South African team, or form one, to get anybody interested in the chassis over a proven car/engine. Plus they'll have to find an engine builder willing to work with them to finish the car. Have we heard any teams even considering talking to these guys or everyone set with HPD/Lola/Zytek/etc?

Finally, the knowledge of copyright law generally really, really sucks. For example, the idea that anything found on the internet is "free" is pretty widespread. |

there is a good link on mariantics website to Baileys new website where you can see the LMP2 car in build, I must say I was quite impressed, they are obviously doing this on a budget, but the car really looks the part, and Bailey Jnr seems to know his onions......best of luck to them I say.

Very impressive indeed. Nice website and real insightful videos... especially if you are like me and like to design your own LMP in your head - or on Solidworks. I'm not sure about the turbo plumbing though...
I fear this effort might be sidetracked in favour of a slow French chassis if the grid is full and the ACO has to choose. Let's hope not. |

According to Racecar Engineering, it's the AER built MZR-R, which is the P1 engine. Odd that it's fitted to a P2.

Hey, maybe it's...
. . . . . . . wait for it . . . . . . . THE LOTUS. In any case, the car looks great. I wish them luck. |

Nice to see this car come to fruition and hit the track. So Im guessing they're aiming for Le Mans next year?

Endurance-Infp.com are reporting that the Bailey P2 has been on track at Kyalami again (prior to going into production in the coming days).
Video Greg Bailey aims to have the car on the grid at Le Mans next year. |

I know this car was said to be running with a MZR engine earlier, but is there any update to that? Will the car have the new Mazda P2 engine possibly?

The car looks great but the engine sounds a little poor (like one F3). Anyone knows if they passed the Fia crash test?
I with a lot of luck for Bailey, is always nice have new blood |

New pics at E-I: http://www.endurance-info.com/versio...ance-7889.html
I haven't properly read through the chassis regs, but is it legal for the front suspension pushrods to be visible? I thought they needed to be covered by bodywork from a frontal view. |
