Goodlookin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
IndyPro

For those who may not be aware, IndyPro is a race series subsidiary to Indycar but from which many of tomorrows Indycar drivers learn their trade.

It is a very competitive series and I am pleased to report that Alex Lloyd, the Mercedes/Mclaren Young Driver of the Year for 2003, won the first race of the Series, at the Miami Homestead Oval on Saturday.

After two abortive years failing to acquire adequate sponsorship for racing in the U.K. and Europe, Alex decided to try his luck in the US. His talent was spotted immediately and last year he raced for AFS Racing in the IndyPro Series.

He missed the first race and was unfortunately prevented from taking part in two more because of a vestibular disorder. Furthermore, he had never raced on ovals in his career. Nevertheless, at the conclusion of the racing year,He had won two races on the race tracks out of 7 starts

His obvious talent attracted the more successful team owners and for 2007 Alex is the senior driver for Sam Schmidt Motorsports. An ex Indycar Driver, Sam entered the IndyPro series in 2001 and won for the first time in 2004 and again last year, He is hoping to keep up the record this year with Alex!

I would recommend anyone who has followed Alex in the past to check on Alex in the States. His next two races are both on the street course at St. Petersburgh, he got his first podium last year at St Petersburgh!

Enjoy

Query for mods (or indeed anyone else interested)

Should IPS threads go in here or in NISS? I've seen both and it's a bit confusing really

Alex has won the second race today from 6th place start (reverse grid for top 6 in Indy Pro). He has now won the first 3 races in the championship.
