Weird that this comes up now.

Aaron Noonan (via the V8 Sleuth podcast) pointed this exact ‘loophole’ out in the Super2 regs in the latest episode.

It's rather confusing. I thought KR/MWM had run out of head blanks for the higher hp cylinder heads anyway, and were using the production-based cylinder heads?

Were the 2015 Altimas homologated with less drag than the 2015 Falcon and Commodore? That seems unlikely, given that is not the purpose of the airfield aero test.

I think the theory goes Nissan was allowed a "slippery-er" body to make up for a weak motor.
