can you tell me how a ford pre-crossflow engine is increased to 1650cc as per sixties Anglias .

try +150
85mm bore, usually requires na 'L' block or a linered block otherwise the pistons get a bit wet ! |

twin cam bloke bored 85mm + 040 ...... does that sound right ?

+40 is 1mm
Ford bore 80.9mm Twin cam 82.5 the Twink 'L' block is a thicker wall casting and most will take 85mm, otherwise its a risky job in as much as the walls are so thin they distort or become porous. I'm at the other end of the equation, I look for std ford bores as my max overbore is +40 ie 82mm |

both where 1963. at least the 5 bearing blocks where 1963
I'm not sure if Cosworth or anyone else cast blocks ( I know others did heads, and I'm still after an Aquaplane Ally head) I think it was just ford |
