magazine article price guide for vintage FF's?

Hello,

I am looking for published magazine article or pricing-guide information for vintage formula fords. Specifically a 1972 March chassis 729?

Does anyone know of any published articles or other sources that can give an idea of what a car like this would be worth?

Thanks,
brian.doll@pobox.com

For a FF to be of value here in the UK in needs to have been built AND RACED prior to 31-12-71.

Isn't there still a pre '74 series?

I think theres a pre 74 class in the BRSCC classic formula ford series, but it also has a class for pre 82 cars.

The HSCC PRE 71 cars seem to be the most valuable Formula Fords. The best cars sell for up to £15000.00 and some for even more!

If you need the printed info. for a specific reason - e.g. insurance? That will be difficult, there are so few racercars it is hard to write a price guide, best look at advertisements in Autosport, Victory Lane etc

Only race car price guide I can think of is in the American Magazine 'Vintage Racecar', I know they've published guides for 3 liter F1 cars, FIA Prototypes etc, not sure about F.Fords.
(but I should say that one I looked at was rather inaccurate).

Check their website www.vintageracecar.com that might have details of back issues etc.

Legends normally have a couple for sale and Adrian Rush (who runs Legends) should be able to give you a good valuation. I think he sponsors the HSCC series.
