Fia GT 2006 - Bucharest ?
A friend has just told me that the championship is going to Bucharest for a street race next year has anyone else heard this

Doesnt look like the most challenging layout at present. Depends on what the FIA do. Sorry if this is old fashioned but I like to see drivers challenged by undulating circuits, sweeping curves followed by tight chicanes and fully committed, 6th gear bends.

in cities . that just says trouble ..
I'm really looking forward to it . and hope many people will enjoy it i'm waiting for the FIA response .. the track layout might change a bit . |

Someone more cynical than me could think that, if you paid Mr Ratel enough you can have an FIA GT race in your local supermarket car park. you could think from this and the 'provisional' LMES schedule he's not interested in the quality of the venues, or the genuine development of the series.

The proposed layout may not be a technical challenge but simple street circuits nearly always produce a good race providing the roads are wide enough.
For me it's a welcome addition and certainly different to the other tracks on the calendar. |
