Bentlet line up in 2002?

Who would you like to see as the drivers for Bentley in 2002. I'd like to see Brundle, Van der Poele and Ortelli in car 7 and Smith, Herbert and kelleners in car 8. That way, we have Brits in both cars and the foreigners are very quick also. Van der poele won Bentley 3rd place this year, he was faster than the Audis during the night and early hours.

That's a pretty good line up, I reckon, Pink, but there is one essential name missing. The great Andy Wallace. The man is a sports car star and is too often overlooked in favour of the ex-F1 boys. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Martin and (particularly) Johnny, but look at the guy's record at Le Mans:-

13 starts and 9 finishes, all bar one in the top 10 and 6 in the top 6 including that Jaguar victory in 88. (And he should have won in 95 as well - damned shame!!).

Otherwise, no complaints with your line-up!!

I'm surprised Champion let him go for Le Mans. He was with the team all year bar le Mans.

when wallace took the bentley drive, was champion not planning on going to le mans, perhaps? then later those plans changed. i know champion did announce rather late that they were indeed going to LM

Bentley might can their Le Mans project. They have not yet comfirmed they will race in 2002.

Yeh, I read the piece in Autosport today. It's a bit worrying, although they say they are going to embark upon a test program.
