Cool temperatures for Indy - Advantage Bridgestone?
For Saturday and Sunday a max temp of 18 and 15 o C has been reported. (BBC Weather)
Doesn't look good for the Michelin boys... |

it is'nt as mutch an advantage for Bridgestone, but it certainly does'nt give Michelin the advantage they would have in higher tempratures.

Minardi might just be forced to run on those Avon F3000 tyres they tested on at the start of the season
I wouldnt bet against JP Monty here.... |

So, what? We're all looking forward to a great end of championship battle, unless Ferrari win in which case we're not interested? I thought the whole point of a close fight was that you're not sure who will win until they do.

I'm sure that if those weather conditions remain the same, we'll have a Ferrari walkover once again.
I'm sorry, guess i just became very pessimistic over the past few years... |

Cheer up ASCII Man - it is far from over, cool weather or no. The Ferrari was quick at Silverstone and again in Monza, but the Indy circuit is very different. The lap is governed more by the twisty in-field than the 20-plus second straight - good aerodynamic efficiency (decent downforce for not much drag) and excellent mechanical traction are needed, together with plenty of bhp and good drivability... that's a description of the FW25, surely? Ferrari will be competitive for sure, especially given the condiditons which will be tolerable for the Bridgestones, but no way will they walk away with it - Renault and McLaren will mix it too, and Wiliams will still have the best package overall (probably!).

Its been so long since we have had a wet race, we really don't know which tyre will be the best in the wet.
Michelin has done a good job on the dry tyres, one expects there wet (or Inter) to be equally as good now! |

As far as I know it is still only one wet tyre allowed, which means the excellent Bridgestone could well come into play. we're only looking at a chance of a shower on Saturday though, so most likely the weekend will be effected just by temperatures.
