2016 12 Hours of Sebring
It is almost time for Sebring. The first race of the year at Daytona was a good one, and I'm hoping we are in for more of the same here. We expect around 50 cars to take the start, and the one I am most interested in seeing is the Dragonspeed Oreca 05. This will be the first race in the US for the 05, and they will be joined in the Proto ranks by guests ESM who were strong at Daytona and the Dragonspeed car was fast during the Sebring test. They could all mix things up for the overall victory.

I can't wait! I don't think SMP is running Sebring though. They already sent their car back to Europe after Daytona.

Looks like it's going to be hot and dry (dusty). Not fun, but great for racing.

Don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere, but the IMSA stream has gone back to being international only until 7PM for the US folks. So stupid.

Depends on how much revenge-BoP the LMP2s get for faring well at Daytona. The "Corvette" DPs already received breaks for the Sebring test, and that will probably only escolate further for pre-event round of adjustments.
Is Dragonspeed running their proam lineup... that'll hamper them Last edited by Deleted; 8 Mar 2016 at 12:17. |

Yes, Hedman/Lapierre/Minassian.
I don't expect Hedman to be in the same league as Pew, more like Ed Brown but if he can keep it on the track and the Oreca keeps running they have a shot, Lapierre and Minassian should have the upper hand (speed wise) over the likes of Fittipaldi, Curran, Sharp, van Overbeek et all. |

Hoping IMSA gets an entry list out soon. Not sure what the delay is really.

Is there even data logger in that car... there's nothing to make comparisons to, and they can develop it however they want unlike the others.

I hope these p2 guys were sandbagging. Nothing on the Mazda. Maybe it was wise to test 'privately' so imsa doesn't fudge their bop?

No, as seemingly every round of adjustment bulletins gets revised at least once (the february test bop got too) or multiple times

So I think, on this front, the "Mazda" did wisely |

I was gonna say this was his Sebring debut, but he did test the Indycar in 2012 there (the short loop). But it is his non-roval sportscar debut Not that he's gonna get any real drive time, 4 drivers for 12 hours is absurd overkill |
