IMSA Race Long Beach 2016

Long Beach will be a Proto, Proto Crash and GTLM only race featuring 25 cars. There has been some bop movement before each race this season, so we will see how that shakes out at LB.

That came to me last night, I thought it was clever. But then again I had been drinking.....

- Street circuits are terrible we should get rid of them
- Street circuits are awesome we need more of them
- Why do they have only one practice and it's in Friday morning, who designs this crap
- Blame Indycar that's not IMSA's fault at all
- Why do they need to have separate starts for protos and GTs when you have such laughably small field
- With separate starts the chances for opening lap pileups are smaller that's why
- PCs are worthless we should get rid of them now
- PCs bring great revenue to the series and lots of fans like them
- GTD should be here instead of PC
- But they are not are they and that's a fact deal with it
- Last year, year X, year Y, was much better than this
- You're just looking it through nostalgic rose glasses this is good enough
- Here goes another PC car to crash it, god damn it
- It's not PC driver's fault, these cars don't have luxury systems like others do
- Another fake 30 minute FCY, that's great
- It's unavoidable you moron, the debris takes time to clear up
- Commercials every 3 minutes and informecials in between, this garbage is unwatchable
- FOX and IMSA need to get TV revenue and sponsorship somewhere so they are necessary
- The stream is laggy as usual
- It's still better than Pirelli World Challenge's hahahaha right
- Greg Screamer needs to shut up now
- You should listen to IMSA radio then so it's your issue
- Tires are rubbish
- It's not Continental's fault they were told do this
- BoP is crap
- BoP is not crap
- Shank would have won without that slow AM driver
- That slow AM driver pays the bills at Shank so he's not going anywhere
- If ESM had been here they would have lost too so BoP is unfair
- If ESM had been here they would have easily won it so BoP is fair
- The car X won because of BoP, don't give excuses for it
- The car X didn't won because of BoP, don't give excuses, for it
- I bet the DPs won't get any BoP penalties for Laguna, because of NASCAR
- They shouldn't get BoP penalties, you're just an ignorant P2 fan
- Well that was a letdown race
- The race was great so stop complaining, if you don't like it don't watch it
- Stop complaining about complaining

For the record, I always thought he was 'fine'. Not memorable but you could do lot worse. When he disappeared from SPEED screen circa 2009-10 in ALMS, I thought he was never coming back, not as main host at least. It's nice that some find employment at least, while others get kicked out.

Huge mistake to let LMPC in this race. They don't belong here. Would be shocked if the race went FCY free. IMSA will regret bringing them in.

I don't recall any cautious in the Long Beach dashes in the last two years, that might change this year.

Not sure how I feel about PC being there. Maybe the new aids will help and give us a great race, as long as they don't turn them off.

Nah you missed out some stuff
-All the drivers are rubbish because they've all decided to go to WEC and ELMS as well.
-Without ESM, AXR are just going to go and win everything
-The race is so short that all the drivers are just going to make rash decisions and bring out safety cars.
-Without GTD there will be no traffic so it will be too easy for the Prototypes.

In the three previous races in IMSA competition that featured just the P and GTLM cars(LBGP 2014-2015, MRLS 2014), there was 5hr 20min of green flag running out of 5hr 20min of race time.

Will the LBGP IMSA race go FCY-free for the third straight year?

Sources all point to "hell naw," but I'd like to be proven wrong.

Its a wonderful format for sure. Look forward to seeing more of it. But not at L.B. this year. We'll see. I do know that I hope somebody other than Corvette wins GT.

If we're lucky, half the PC field will wipe itself out early on. The remaining cars can spread out so when one inevitably stalls after spinning they can just push it off.
