Suzuka 8 hours

The maestro Rae along with team mate Haslam dominate in this the greatest of all bike endurance races. Never had the time before to watch these long races but now being retired I've just caught up with the weekend's action from Japan and what a thoroughly intriguing encounter with 3 riders separated by less than 30 seconds after seven and half hours of racing and as for the last five minutes drama, too much excitement at my age! The red flag should have been shown immediately after that engine blow up putting oil down 10 minutes from the end. Gutsy rides from the injured Haslam and van de Mark and some superb riding from some Japanese stars.

yep .. and it was the two leaders that had **** happened.
The Suzuki would've won the Title and Kwaka the race...

The Kwaka did win after appeal, evidently Rae only found out after sitting down to dinner in the evening and receiving a phone call form his mechanic.

I felt gutted for Rae at the time, but the rules for the race were different and they were awarded the win.
