A star? Are you sure? He crashed out of his first ARCA race last year. This year he has competed in 8 or 16 ARCA races and if you doubled his points (1400), he would be 12th in the driver standings. This is decent but nothing that would get me excited because ARCA is two rungs below the Busch Grand National series.

I checked Verger out and he currently stands 21st in the ARCA points standing. Seems like he has to show a bit more talent before becoming a competitor with the "big guns" in Busch grand National.

He needs luck, He didnt qualify because he didnt tested a lap, his first laps were at the two qualifiers... he needs luck and laps and hell prove who he is. Look at his resuls at the Ascar last year, that means something

The only reason he's down in 21st is because he's only run a part season...

I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. In any case it should be a real learning experience for him. Time will tell.

Nascar is great because they let driver show theys charactes, and true, is plenty of characters...
to give you an idea Vergers last year on the last race was given a penalty that he considered wrong, that costed him the Ascar championship. When the race finished he graved the microphone of the speacker and splained the crowd that we had being robbed the crownd by somebodyes mistake... pure USA Nascar stile |

So what you're saying he's a whiner and will fit right in, huh? Well, you may be partially right about that. But that won't make him a star by any means.

U are right! only results will produce a star (apart from Alesi), I hope he can be a real star by impressing with the results.

I wish... But I'm afraid not. That's the shop truck for a friend's business, the Myrtletown Bodyshop. And considering the money they make, I wish that was mine too. He was at my house one night and I showed him the pictures I took of his truck. I was uploading a photo for my profile when he stopped by and noticed it was a NASCAR forum, so he said I should post one of the photos in my profile. So I did.
Here's the three photos I took of it. Click the pics for bigger images. |

Vergers is a real star Ken Shrader has called him a certain NASCAR champion and one of the most impressive new comers he's seen, his first ever lap at Daytona in an ARCA car was the 5th fastest ever in a test. He hasn't had the best brakes over in the states so far, but he was in the top 5 often and he also could have won a couple of races on circuits he's never seen before. He is schedualed to drive alongside Ken Shrader in the WC before the year is out. His car was only purchased 6days before the race!!! and hasn't been used for over 2 years, the car was illegal and had to be rebuilt for new tech rules, and his first qual laps were his only laps, but Ken has sorted the car out this week, and says "watch this boy, he's something special", the flying dutch man will bite back, trust me.

Oh and you guys watch out, the new name to look for will be Kelvin Burt ASCAR championship leader, former Williams f1 test-driver, F3 champ, BTCC JTCC race winner, and the best driver we've got at the mo on ovals.
Plus John Mickel will be over there in Darlington defending Britains honour. |

Reido, I don't think you have your facts straight on Vergers making a lap at Daytona that was the 5th fastest ever. Why? Because all those laps (speeds of 210mph) were set in the 1980's before restrictor-plates. Nobody would touch these records in ANY stock car today so long as it is running legal engine regs (ie. restrictor-plate, compression ratio, etc.) and spoiler angles and heights.
