How to get information on v8s from offshore

Aussie v8 supercars are one of my favourite racing series but I find it extremely frustrating not being able to get live internet coverage of praciice times or racing. The official site is way off the pace. The other series I like to follow(Cart,F1 and IRL) all offer good live timing service. Not so the v8s, at least not that I am able to find. This forum is shaping as the best option but I would love to find live timing somewhere and it goes against the grain to pay for the `playstation` option. I know I`m not alone here so any help would be greatly appreciated

The official sites "Live Timing feature" that is about $20 per season is pretty good really, and Telstra Broadband has a visual shoot out ,qualifying deal.I haven't lashed out for the Broadband option but find the playstation one quite reasonable.
I know what you mean about CART,F1 etc they have a good set up but that's all I know of in Australia, there other sites like Conrod or V8 Central but I don't know if you get people posting during the race off their live timing subsription???

Keep in mind also that the so-called 'live timing' option is one shot only - no ability to replay or look at old events or even support events...

True that is frustrating but it is better than nothing I guess, you have to go to natsoft.com.au or racenews.com.au etc to get the post race info.

Subscribe to RaceNews and you can get the media releases emailed directly to you - that's one way out.

We are also considering an auto-advice type service for results as well - so stay tuned on that one.

Conrod is ok on race weekends but v8central is far better. They have like a chat room thing which is like typing commentating, which from what i gather is someone or a few people watching the big pond fed.

LIVE live RT, which some times is the same as Ten live .. some times

You don't get commentary in the ad's just the in-car audio. It's about 95+% in-cars, so you see different things to the tv.

Going by last year, there were only 2 races we didn't get LIVE here in NZ, and I mean live as it happened, we were watching it before you lot in Oz got it LIVE by over 30 mins.

And yes, if you go to the V8 Central chat room we are normally there giving a blow by blow commentary, not exactly the same as pictures but hey we do the best we can for ya and do a pretty good job.

Does anyone know if the 2003 highlights are going to be released on DVD? I keep checking on hmv Oz & ezyDVD but there's no mention of it, and the Chevron site is well out of date. Cheers.
