It seems manufacturers are coming back to sedan models.

Difficult to say. At the moment we could only guess.....

x 2 Hyundai - BRC Team
x 2 Hyundai - Engstler
x 4 Link&Co - Cyan Racing
x 2 New Audi - Comtoyou
x 2 Honda (at least) - Munnich Motorsport
x 2 Seat (at least) - Zengo Motorsport

MG and Renault maybe could join although I see Renault better in a full season in TCR Europe!

A new Audi TCR is expected. Zengo is becoming a stable Seat team and I expect that the'll come back with Azcona to try to win the championship (maybe our hungarian friends in the forum knows better )

No news for the Alfa Romeo. Team Ferraris seems focussed on the Pure ETCR project with the Giulia. Plus, the Giuletta is officially out of production now.

Some new team maybe will join the series, difficult to say who...

Also great addition the female trophy with the japanese Rio Shimono looking to take a shot in the WTCR with a Honda. Also there are good female drivers like Jessica Backmans and Michelle Halder

Strange decision to launch a female trophy when they've had 0 female drivers so far? Halder I think is the best I've seen from TCR. Backman tends to crash more often than not!

I believe that Huff said that MG is eyeing WTCR.
And Zoltan Zengo said that they are aiming to race 4 Cupras next year, with 2 Hungarian drivers alongside 2 'superstars'

Hyundai is evaluating both Elantra and i30 for WTCR.
That decision will be final in January.
Also i30 N TCR will be restyled, to look like restyled road version of i30.

Be nice to see the saloon, these small saloons seem quite nicely suited to TCR in terms of look.

Esteban Guerrieri, Nestor Girolami, Tiago Monteiro and Attila Tassi will all remain with Honda for the 2021 World Touring Car Cup after the Japanese manufacturer announced an unchanged line-up for the third successive season.

The exact nature of the line-up will be revealed in due course, with the customer racing teams that will appear in 2021 still to be confirmed. Girolami and Guerrieri ran under the ALL-INKL.DE Münnich Motorsport banner last season, with Tassi and Monteiro partners at ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport.

I'd say it will be around 22-23 entries this year, +- on the level of 2020, given the economic situation.

Meanwhile, 2019 TCR Motorsport Games wineer Kilm Gavrilov is planning to enter WTCR this year:

German siblings Mike and Michelle Halder have revealed plans to try and make the move into the World Touring Car Cup this season.

Mike finished as runner-up in the 2017 TCR Germany season, whilst sister Michelle has won races in both the German series and in TCR Europe – where the pair raced last season.

Surprise would be if we've seen some Lynk&Co in the hands of private teams. Hold faithfulness and sincerity as first principles.

Nicky Catsburg will not compete in touring car this year, due to clashes with his GT involvement.

It's still 4 (!) months until the first event.
And if you have followed the series in the past you know confirmed entries are always late.

The registration deadline is 2nd May so there is plenty of time for announcements. And don't forget: teams usually don't go public right after the deal is done, so you never know how many entries there are who are only waiting for the right time to make the announcement.

Didn’t you learn from last year Juntos? You said the exact same thing about every race series last year when it was months and months from the start of the season?!

Teams. Announce. Entries. Late. It. Doesn’t. Mean. They. Haven’t. Entered. Yet.
