Many congratulations! But, let's not forget that at the beginning of the year, all users were invited to predict the final WDC standings as well - the scores from this prediction would be added to the total score of points obtained from each round to produce an overall winner. We also decided to run this as a separate competition, just as Gerard did last year - the reason for this being that we wanted to give users who hadn't predicted WDC standings also a chance in the competition. So here are the final results, including WDC predictions: Global Standings after #17 round (13/10 Grand Prix of JAPAN (Suzuka)) 1 - 110 points = eatapc, Inigo Montoya 3 - 109 points = Valve Bounce 4 - 102 points = Jay 5 - 101 points = Damon, Kenny W., Mekola 8 - 100 points = Maxmil 9 - 98 points = Don K, mr v 11 - 96 points = facco 12 - 95 points = pb btcc 13 - 94 points = Raven, Tristan 15 - 93 points = enemy-ace, mtpanorama, Speed 18 - 92 points = Lola, RT 20 - 91 points = Cougar21 21 - 90 points = Toth 22 - 89 points = senna12 23 - 88 points = f1manoz, Red, SL 26 - 86 points = Bononi, Carla O, Mark F1, paulzinho 30 - 85 points = FastJoel31 31 - 84 points = Powered by JPM 32 - 81 points = hakkiman 33 - 80 points = EERO 34 - 79 points = alesi95 35 - 77 points = nicholaswhite 36 - 76 points = Kex 37 - 75 points = Mantis13 38 - 74 points = D.R.T., DNQ 40 - 72 points = AndyF, BootsOntheSide, racer69, Ralf's Girl 44 - 71 points = Jukebox, zetta 46 - 70 points = bulldogspirit, Daisy 48 - 68 points = ljakse 49 - 67 points = AlanJones 50 - 65 points = AMoffat 51 - 64 points = nameless 52 - 59 points = fastracer 53 - 57 points = M Power, the man 55 - 56 points = con-rod 56 - 55 points = freud, Rick, Spudgun 59 - 53 points = Tom Fuller 60 - 52 points = Wrex 61 - 51 points = Baby Spice 62 - 48 points = davebreen 63 - 46 points = Dickie Thrust 64 - 45 points = botsquad, Spaced Invader 66 - 44 points = Number Juan, steve_r 68 - 42 points = downforce, Mania 70 - 41 points = Guy Goddard2 71 - 40 points = Crank Case, Spritle 73 - 39 points = Marshal 74 - 37 points = fast95pony, RussianFriend 76 - 36 points = badoer fan 77 - 35 points = Ed-f1 78 - 33 points = Minardi fan 79 - 32 points = drexel, LucaBadoer 81 - 31 points = Ferrari Girl, Lewis, ozrevhead 84 - 29 points = Raoul Duke, Splatz the Cow 86 - 26 points = bart_jacobs 87 - 22 points = mjstallard 88 - 21 points = nickF1 89 - 20 points = 903cc, calais, mariov, TeddyG 93 - 19 points = kuchi, wreckless 95 - 16 points = f1truestory, freeze, Matt Lucas 98 - 15 points = JohnSSC, JuanF, Lee Janotta 101 - 14 points = Dani Filth, Legend 103 - 13 points = Faster, Gt_R, Miss Hardt, Sonatrap, The Accomplice 108 - 11 points = BBKing, CleanTone, stevie.murray, TickTag2 112 - 10 points = av8rirl, GanjaGrizz, nicker less, wheelie 116 - 9 points = andrew_marsden, Bibendum, JSC, Madman, rollhoop 121 - 8 points = Ajay, garcon 123 - 7 points = Andrew2001, Colin Mason, F1FC, Kretzman JB fan 127 - 6 points = JulianF1, Rogilio, twig 130 - 5 points = Alan, aussie_f3, BD, DC2BChamp, f1canada, flyingduck, kwd, R_L, Schummy 139 - 4 points = bastinscully, dman007, Glen, jpmontoya_fan, julesdw, MiniMe, Peugeot #1, racing_guru, Spinner, Willie the Pimp 149 - 3 points = Dino IV, Epsilon, Jack_fd, PoweredByHonda 153 - 2 points = ®îjñtjûh, DC Highlander, Fuel, MichaelH, Rambo, rcwatts17, swregor 160 - 1 points = com roadrunner, Daytona Donald Global standings = Current Points + WDC points And in this competition, we have two winners - eatapc and Inigo Montoya. Congrats! So in total, we have three winners. And I must say I am very happy about this outcome, as all three of you have done exceptionally well this year, so I'm very glad that we can finish the competition with all three of you as winners. The winners will receive a 10 Tenths baseball cap, or alternatively a 10 Tenths polo shirt (only a couple left, and in small sizes only). Drop me a PM, and I'll send your details to Craig, who will then send the cap or polo to you. Many thanks to Bononi for providing the software to make this competition very easy to manage. Thanks also to EERO for his help and efforts - especially at the beginning of the year - to get this competition going, and thanks to Wrex for helping out along the way. Running this competition has been a fun experience for me, and I'll be happy to run it again next year. Runar |

1 - 102 points = Valve Bounce
2 - 101 points = eatapc, Inigo Montoya Or, if you prefer, 1 - 110 points = eatapc, Inigo Montoya 3 - 109 points = Valve Bounce How close can you get guys? Hip Hip Hooray!! X 3 You should all adjourn to your local Pubs or whatever for a celebration. Many kudos for R also. It is a big job, and you did it without a hitch for 17 rounds. Cheers Guys! I just realized that if you add up the points for the three of them, they all scored 211. Last edited by Maxmil; 13 Oct 2002 at 14:07. |

My congratulations to the winners! Bouncey, you did a terrific job and Congrats to eatapc and Inigo for making it a very close competition.
My Thanks to R for putting this together and doing such a great job. Early in the year I suggested that the winner would recieve a prize and I didn't anticipate THREE winners, so give me a chance to sort this out and your prizes will be zooming to you soon. Again, my thanks and congratulations! |

Thanks to Runar

I must thank Runar for this competition, because it certainly kept me interested in the F1 race. It even had me cheering for the two Ferraris and kept me from falling asleep. Without this comp, I would not be watching F1 races on TV. |

Congrats to Valve, and congrats to Inigo for catching me at the end. I was stupid for not sticking to the conservative strategy that worked for me all year long -- I wanted to win it outright in a blaze of glory. The 3-way tie for first was, in my case, pure dumb luck.
Let's hope for some real racing with less predictable results next year. And, as usual, great job, R!!! |

Congrats to the winners !!!!
Thanks R, great job ! And don't forget next year guys ! Just to keep the competitive level and stop Valve's dominance... next season we will be adding a "ballast" to the winner of each round... erh... sorry, the winner will be penalized losing 10% of the points achieved in the next race, and will lose 10 places if he manages to win twice in a row... and... arghhh !!!!! |
