One mistake: The poster is still the one from Algarve.
Anyway, I predict a surprise result in terms of LMP2 positions overall. The Hungaroring is almost as tight as, let's say, the twisty part of Mid-Ohio, so if the Strakka HPD holds together and they manage to minimize the time damage done by the boss's stints, I wouldn't be surprised to see it on the overall podium, and not necessarily on the lowest step. |

Horlicks. Yet another sportscar race where I will be on a plane rather than being able to follow it live.
Really must remember to put ALMS/LMS dates into calendar at the start of the year... |

Yeah, poo poo occurs. By the time I tried to edit the good little system said, to bad get someone else to do it, so the correct image was relayed to the men behind the green curtain, and is waiting to be replaced.

How many rounds does a team need to run to be classified in the series standings at the end of the season? In any case, if the Oreca Pug stays out of trouble and ahead of the petrol LMP1s it should take the points lead in LMP1, since it's only 5 points behind the Capello/McNish Audi which should only race again at Silverstone... (and one point behind the 13 Rebellion Lola)

bit of a disappointment that Audi doesn't show up here. It seemed promising they'd join at least one of the summer races.
Could it be the economy? Not enough money for Silverstone, a jump across the pond to Georgia and then another big jump across many ponds to Asia, plus a truck journey, etc to central Europe? P2 should be interesting again at least, and, well, GT2 goes without saying, even without the BMWs, another disappointment. |

Audi never seriously though about running more LMS races in spite or rumors that they would in the run-up for the ILMC. Because they held the drivers, teams and manufacturers championship leads at the time the rumors popped up.
However-and one can refer to recent posts on the 2010 ILMC topic-Audi has achieved what they need to do to run the ILMC races with a two car team: enter at least one car for two non-ILMC races, and enter the three actual ILMC events. I would've though that Hungaroring would've made a good test for the ILMC (though not as good as Algarve, Road America or Mosport), and Audi owns and engine factory in Gyor which is where the TT is also built. But Audi never gave much though to doing more races and has apparently decided to stick to private testing post Le Mans for the ILMC. Considering that 2010 is bound to be Audi's most successful year as far as car sales and has made record profits for this year, money isn't the problem, but sticking to their original plan for racing is the issue. |

At what point will ACO realise that fans who cant go to every race might actually like to watch more than 30 minutes of the race? Apart from Le mans the coverage is a joke, i understand Eurosport show alot of sports so cant show an entire Lms race live. |

Yes and no; while Steph's near-full-season ride was the Oreca Pug, it wasn't at Spa and that helped his points tally even more, especially finishing 2nd and ahead of the Audis.

the last seasons in LMS the GT2 goes to the final race and the final moments, 2010 was all about the #77, too much problems for #96, and double points at HTTT, clearly Lieb/Lietz will be easily champions

Hmm, how about the fact that it was an 8 hour race vs 1000km? It is not a new rule nor is it only employed by the LMS!

Yeah. It's not like there are any other international sportscar championships with free live streamings from every round... oh wait
Hungaroring. Should be a good one - if Eurosport bothers to show any of it. But I'll concentrate more on Elkhart Lake event anyway. |

Yeah , its really rather a shame , their coverage .
The manufacturers and teams want more coverage , and what do they get , less !!! I guess they should have asked for less , then they probably would have gotten more . While I am not very interested in watching a 6 or 8 hour race every race , a 2 hour show surely isnt beyond the realms of ones imagination , now is it ? |

While praising the state of Ratel, who killed GT-2 this year and has a maximum grid of 24 in that other class, belittling the grid at Hungaroring with 39??!!! L.P. |
