Has to be Max. He had excellent pace despite preserving the tires for 20-something laps and still was able to drive away from the cars behind after the final safety car.
Rosberg bottled it, Hamilton was very fortunate, Sainz incurred a costly penalty, nobody else stood out. |

Yep, baby vers does it again. Dotr.
Vettel did decent to come from 14th, the Mercedes were just too fast on the day but I wonder without those final two sc's, he might have held on to the win. Depends how much those meds would have dropped off over 30 laps. Sainz did okay to come back a couple times. That's about it really. Button got a decent 6th but that was helped with having fresh softs at the end after the SC. Kyvat fudged it again, spent far too long failing to pass the Mercs in the beginning, meanwhile Ricciardo does them both straight away and Kyvat still can't get past Rosberg while Ricciardo flies off into the lead. Shame it dried up and their cars turned to crap, and Merc get another 1-2 |

Vettel. 13th on the grid to 3rd spot on the podium. I also thought Button did an excellent job coming 7th with the McLaren.

damnit, carlos, you were so close and then there was that penalty...
verstappen, mostly for winding up raikkonen, and an honorable mention to perez and sainz. and kudos to rossi - dropped in the deep end again, and he swam... |

Hmmm, tricky.
Lewis - Yes, he found it tricky at the start - and I suppose he was fortunate with some of the safety car incidents. But - he fought back - on a track that he always seem to be good at. Vettel - Superb fight back from 14th. The engine seemed to work well. Possibly - he could have won here. Sainz - Some good racing today. But shame about the penalty. Perez - Another good race from him. Really strong. I wonder how he'll be in his homeland next week? Verstappen - Maxi boy was superb today. Great overtakes. There's some talent on young shoulders. Rossi - Dragged that Manor up to 12th. A decent showing from such a young driver and in difficult conditions. Button - He was on fire here. A great race from him. Once on slicks - he found some speed. Dragging that McLaren dog around. Plus, he beat his illustrious teammate. I'm going give it to Jenson. Last edited by stripedcat; 26 Oct 2015 at 00:07. |

I voted for Max, the only place he could not keep up with Vettel was the straights.

Well for me it's only between 2. So many drivers put in great drives, but those of Button and Verstappen were just champions' drives. I will never understand why Button isn't as highly rated as some other drivers, and there is surely no doubting that he is just the best in these conditions, and Verstappen is a genius. Not long before a podium methinks...
...for the sake of balance I give it to Button... |

Come back to me. If I could I'd pick all 20 for all giving it a go today and being racing drivers. But as I can't I'm tempted to give it to Kimi for the way he dragged that car out of the gravel and back into the pits

I think Jenson was in a different mood yesterday, he gets my vote for dragging a dog around by the scruff of its neck to 6th

Verstappen. If Ferrari struggled, he would get a podium.

I'm feeling kind this week, and decided to be kind to Carlos Matador. Yes, he binned it in practice, but the conditions were mightly difficult. Yes, he got the speeding penalty, but haven't we all? I noticed his driving more that BabyJos so it may be unscientific, but....
There are several others who could have got it (it was that sort of race), but Carlos stood out for me. |

Plenty to choose from. The best car may have prevailed for the victory, but the rain still proved a bit of an equalizer for the drivers and we saw some topsy-turvy performances with the drivers at moments brilliant and at others making mistakes.
Some of the performances Max Verstappen - such a strong result and there bothering the Red Bulls and even getting the Iceman a bit hot under the racesuit collar all race. Sebastian Vettel - not a successful qualifying result, but climbed up the order well when the track dried up and eventually put his team-mate in the shade again, finishing a clear 3rd. Nico Rosberg - drove an excellent line when battling Hamilton and defending from him, but eventually spoiled his chances of a win. Daniel Ricciardo - strong early on but after tumbling down the order didn't manage to salvage much. Probably more innocent than guilty in the bump with Hulkenberg and definitely with Carlos Sainz. Lewis Hamilton - one particularly good move to take the lead I think from Ricciardo, but fortuitous with safety cars. Jenson Button - my driver of the race actually. The wet conditions negated his lack of horses and I'm impressed he managed to hold off the cars he did. |
