Autographs
Dear f1 fans,
I collect autographs of old and new f1-drivers. I'm just 23 years old, so I'm kinda new in the business. Can you help me with addresses, contacts,... of f1-drivers? I don't have much interest in buying, but I want to exchange. All tips are welcome, even locations in the area of Belgium, where those people might show up. Thanks! If you have the same interest, don't hesitate to visit my site (still working on it), I'll be happy to put links. Last edited by Aysedasi; 31 Mar 2004 at 11:49. |

Welcome sven. First of all, I have to remove your site link as self-advertising is not permitted in the main forums. You are welcome to post the details of it in the Cool Sites forum though.
I have a few autographs from F1 drivers in their F3 days, but nothing that special. I know there are others here who have got autographs. You might like to do a search of the forum to see what the word "autograph" turns up? |

I too collect a few autographs, but my own way: I like to take a picture of a driver the first time I see him (her), then get the autograph on the picture the second time. They realy appreciate this.
unfortunately, I don't exchange any as I do this only for myself as an example, Michele Alboreto: picture taken just after the podium from his Le Mans victory, 1997,june,15 autograph made by himself at Le Mans again, one year later . |

I see on your site you'll be at Le Mans test day in a few weeks: it's realy a great opportunity to have drivers for autographs, believe me ! especially if you're there on friday and saturday for the scrutineering

Alex yoong, peter brock (every ozzie has that one), assorted touring car icons.
Could've had Dave Brabham's but i was playing photographer at the time, so i didn't want to seem unprofessional. *sigh* |

I started collecting autographs when I started marshalling. After 60 odd names on one set of marshal's overalls I gave up (I still have them for sentimental reasons). I realised once I had 9 F1 champions (including Senna) that I wasn't going to better that so I haven't bothered since.

Well I got Timo Glocks, and Giorgioa Pantano's this week (Heidfeld had already left by then, although he was suffering from delayed concussion so i'll let him off). Managed to get it on the little windsheild too, so quite impressed.
And I couldn't have got more un-proffesional, considering I was mwnt to be working on Chassis 1, the race weekend T-Car, driven by both Nick and Timo at the Silverstone test... :S Pics and Vids to come too. Ed |

Welcome to the forum Robur!
But can I ask you please to remove the url from your signature - as this breaches forum rules. Thanks |

You can try joining fanclubs of drivers who you are really interested in getting autographs from.
I've got a fair few from coming into contact with drivers at events but I joining Mark Webber's club before he started racing for Minardi and so far I've received about 8 signed photos from the club. It's a good idea if you're willing to fork out the $ |
