How would you rate this year's Belgian GP?
I think it was the most interesting and eventful race of the season but I may be biased because my favorite did well. One thing particularly enjoyable was to see a same car being relatively fast, then slow, then fast, etc. depending upon its fuel load or choice of tyres. I must also confess that I enjoyed seeing again simultaneous refuelling and tyre changes.
On the tyre change issue. I would appreciate if someone could explain me why RS changed to slicks a second time just before the end of the race. He was then in front of JV such that, I think, RS lost again a position because of that. |

I thought it a tense, engaging and interesting race which held my attention from lights to flag.

I also think this is the 2006 race in which we saw the greatest number of overtaking moves. I hope we will again have rain in Brasil. |

I enjoyed the race, it was interesting and there was always something to keep an eye on.
I wouldn't classifying it the best race of the year or as a classic or anything, because it got reasonably strung out after a while and, I suppose, because I was expecting some showers during the event (which always makes it a bit more unpredictable). Still a good race and all, there is no doubt about that, but it would seem I wasn't quite so captivated by it as some other people. |

I think we can all agree that Imola was the most interesting race of the season so far.

I'd say Malaysia, Nurburgring, Spa, Imola and Turkey were the best, in roughly that order. Spa was exciting and unpredictable throughout, with the weather playing its usual positive effect.

I thought the Spa race was quite bad for a variety of reasons.
Firstly there wasn't much of an actual race at the front, aside from 2 good overtaking moves from Button. The host broadcaster did a stunningly appalling job, missing virtually all the action that occurred. Likewise, ITV took some ad breaks with unfortunate timing meaning we were watching all the action 30 seconds after it had happened on replays. Also for a wet race, there wasn't much attrition, I remember wet races when there was overtaking at any and every corner! |

I enjoyed it - the weather added an unpredictability factor and led to issues like which tyres to put on and when, and we saw one or two drivers in the points who perhaps otherwise wouldn't have been.

It would have been much more exciting if TS had not taken TGF out so early, IMO.
It was, weatherwise, unpredictable. OK it stayed dryish, but the unpredictablility of Spa makes it what it is, for the drivers, teams and fans. Not the best race of the season so far I agree, but not bad either. |

Reading this thread I wonder why most of you bother watching any F1 races at all. If you want passing at every corner try NASCAR, if you want accidents try BTCC.
Most enjoyable way to spend 2 hours IMHO - very entertaining with some good highlights (Button passes come to mind), drying line, when to switch to dry rubber. Add this to the raw spectacle of seeing an F1 car on a true track with stunning scenery and you have a great race. |

Its just the best race track in the world. Changing weather conditions make it such an interesting race and I thought the race itself was excellent. However coverage was not as good as the GP2 race which proceeded it? Different director maybe? camera work during the GP2 race was much better.

Belgium is always great because of the weather...
But the TV editing wasn't alway intelligent: They showed us McLaren cruising around 1-2 and Ron Dennis looking for who knows what while there were other cars racing eachother very closely... It's a shame that we missed some overtaking (there are not many these days...) simply because of TV's bad editing choices... |

I actually enjoyed the race (even if my man was shunted of by some other short guy). Certainly one of the best this year.
The racing was good and there was more than one car that could have won this race (some people just made BIG errors). Then again, I always loved Spa... |

Drama wise, I would rate it the best of the year. Schumi getting shunted and Alonso cruising for points took away some of the excitement. Spa once again lives up to its reputation and of course a little wet always helps.
