Donnington Park
I might go to the BTCC rounds at Donnington Park for the soul reason that i've missed all but Rockingham this year. I last went in 1999 and was wondering if it's improved at all?

I went last year for the first time, and it took us an hour to get out of the car park......I came on this board expecting an outcry, only to be greeted with nothing, so I guess that's usual???
Still, not stopping me from going this year....it was great fun before it was time to go home! And I'm exstatic that not only am I going to be seeing the BTCC and my favorite supports, the Clios....but the F3 boys will be there....AND the legends will be there too! What a weekend! |

As with any large gathering of people delays will be inevitable getting in and out of the event so you should leave a little more time for that. Donington is not the worst for this.

the timetable I have shows 2 races after the BTCC one of which is the legends final so maybe the queues will have gone down a bit.

The only thing I think he enjoyed last year was the Jet fighter display.... (Though he did shout "Mansell" when the production Alfa came and smacked the barriers right opposite us under the Bridge....maybe he knows more about Motorsport than he lets on! ) |

It's not a CSMA meeting this time so I don't expect the crowd will be as big as last year. Mind you it is F3 as well which should bring in at least a dozen more spectators.

Heh heh...clever parking right by the exit meant we avoided such father-angering queueing like last year....he even brought some scissors to cut the rope in the car park field....though by the time we'd trudged back to the car, the rope was long gone!
If anyone wants to see my pics of the weekend, the links in the cool sites section! (Yes....the Clio carnage was captured! ) Can't wait til next year! |
