Monte Carlo 1958
Hello. A question for history buffs.
Whilst wandering around an antiques fair the other day I came across a Heuer stopwatch on one of the stalls The stallholder wandered over and in reply to my query as to its history I was told it had been in the car which finished 3rd in the 1958 Monte but had been pinched from the car (I'm only saying as it was told to me!) during the Rally. It had been one of a pair. As I am too lazy to get up in the loft and research back through Motor Sport, the question is who finished 3rd and what was the car? Tony Hodson |

Thanks chaps - I did find out that a Renault won, so it was rather more effective a machine that I had realised.
I could probably buy a Dauphine for the price I was quoted for the watch, but perhaps not a Gordini! Tony Hodson |
