Nextel Cup-Sylvania 300-New Hampshire International Speedway
Well the chase starts this weekend at New Hampshire, and there were several surprises in qualifying. Clint Bowyer took the pole, he is the only driver in the chase without a win this season. Sam Hornish Jr. who is racing in the Cup now that the IRL season is over didn't qualify for the race despite the other Penske drivers taking 3rd and 5th. Here is the link to the complete results.

good to see truex jnr on the front row aswell
 i see dale jarrett failed to qualify aswell - isnt there a former champion rule that always gaurentee's a race start

Annoyingly it seems Setanta Ireland aren't showing this live, choosing to show egg chasing, or peanut hugging or whatever.

If things keep going like they are now, Clint Bowyer should be able to pick up the win, but we are just about halfway through the race.

Great way to start the chase for Clint Bowyer, I wonder if he will be able to keep the momentum up for the next race in Dover. Here is the link to the results.

Go Clint! (Although it'd still be wrong if he pulled it off!
 )Total dominance. I was pleased to see Jeff make up the deficit and be the joint leader too. It'd be a shame if he didn't pull this one off because of the loopy Chase stuff. But hell, dammit, it's exciting! |
