Lots of possible penalties for too fast under yellows. Managers at Race Control.

Dortmund starting from pit lane.
EDIT : Spurs stalled, back at the grid start. That Safety Car looks genuinely slow! |

Drat, missed first race despite setting a tv reminder about an hour before (eh???!!!)
Saw second race though, quite a tenSe last few laps with PierGuidi getting pulled in by Walker, Pizzonia and Rigon. Walker did pretty well considering it was his first meeting with these cars. Poor old PierGuidi though, losing it like that-tyres must've been in a right state. Would he have held on? Guess well never know. |

I was just looking at some test times from Jerez from September this year and the quickest F1 time was a 1:19.537 set by Klien in the BMW, the slowest was a 1:23.171 by Nakajima. The quickest time from the weekend for Superleague was a 1:28.032 set by Perera, thats a pretty good turn of speed from the Superleague machine, about the same sort of speed as the main GP2 series I would think. All in all the series looks pretty good I think, cant wait until next season where hopefully the series will have some even more high profile drivers.

I find the lack of any confirmed dates for next year not the best sign, but I have a message to all those who said this would never race or would not finish a season.
Great performance from Rigon the whole year, didn't make it easy for himself this weekend. The series needs some changes (reliability needs fixing as does getting a bit more attention), but let's hope 2009 is a good year too! |

Actually today I was surprised by the amount of spectators, there were a good number on some grand stands, in fact some seemed packed. Hopefully they are back next year with more support races, better tracks, better dates, better marketing and more reliability. I like the brutality of this car
