FIA GT3 World Cup $
Let me start out by saying I am not trying to start an argument , I just don't know the answer
I had a friend from FLA that recently went to the PWC event at St, Pete Fla. The event he thought was a little Boring with all the yellows . But by now is really impressed with the GT3 cars . He had heard at the event Possibly from a team member ? and at work today one of his work buddies mentioned the same thing . " Beyond the Rumor Stage BUT Not yet announced " Has anyone any insight to this MAY possibly become a reality ? Thanks |

I thought they'd already announced it was going to be at Macau, seeing as there's no WTCC round and it's no longer on the GT Asia calendar as a points scoring round?

This is to motorsport what the Club World Cup (Not country) to football, as Clarckson would say "Totally irrelevant". And moreover in the Macau Venue.

Not sure what the Macau Venue is all about . My initial topic was " IS the FIA planning a new worldwide GT3 Series ? "

Sorry, i must have missed that. I dont think a "true" world championship can be achieved without the support of the manufacturers or sponsors. Its a huge investment.
Would love to see a world championship though, maybe the way to go is have the regional series, Blancpain, Australian GT, British GT etc and then invite the top 5 in the championship to an end of season finale or something. Who knows. |
