Exhausts for Impreza Turbo

Hi, my dad is gonna get a new exhaust for his half/prodrive Impreza. It still has the standard 2 pipe exhaust (bought last year just before the new one was revealed).

I want this car to sound like the WRX's (glglglglg, etc) now my dad is reluctant to have anyone but Prodrive, or Subaru touch the car, so he is either going to get a P1 exhaust fitted, or the WR Prodrive Performace exhaust.

What do they both sound like?

Can anyone help? please?!

I had a Scoobysport exhaust on my Impreza and it sounded glorious

I think the sportier factory exhausts (STi/P1 etc.) are slightly louder than a std UK exhaust, but not much, certainly not worth spending money on (I don't know whether you'll get much of a power gain from them).

Hi,

i dont know about the P1 or the Prodrive exhausts.

But Magnex, although look nice and are good quality, they are not loud at all !

I'd recommend a custom made Powerflow exhaust, my mate has just had
one fitted to his Civic and now it sounds like a beast
Its good quality too, and probably a lot cheaper than the other brands.

try these websites for more info.

I think I'm going to get one fitted to my XR2i

Woody.

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
Some guy parked his WRX in our building's security car park the other day, (good precaution ) and as I followed him out, I noticed that his exhaust was not the standard WRX exhaust and it only had a clearance of about two inches. I think the smart thing here is to check out the ground clearance of any specialist exhaust system before you invest in such.
