Who do you think will win overall at Le Mans in 2005?
We all know that the likely winner overall at Le Mans in 2005 will be a LMP car, but which car, and in what class? As the poll system here only allows 10 differnt choices I have listed the 9 most likely winners in my opinion, the 10th slot will be for the "other" option. Personally im going for the Creation DBA. What about you?

voted for "other" because Champion is without a doubt the odds-on favorite to win this year with a two-car effort and any poll without them in it is not a good nor accurate poll IMO... you really can't honestly believe that all of the above teams have a better chance than Champion? if so, what are some of your reasons for making such a judgement?

Voted for Creation. Strong driving squad with Wallace, Minissan and CW. If this fails anyhing other than an Audi or Pescorolo.

I voted for "other" i.e Champion no3. 7 Le Mans wins between them (6 in R8s)plus a fair number of Sebring victories too and they have been omitted. Come on Saleen S7R, tell us all your thought processes at leaving this one out - what is the basis of your opinion? Enlighten us on your reasoning. I agree with tblincoe that this poll is flawed and table a motion from the mods to amend it, and at least add in Champ #3. |

Just for the record, had I voted with my head, I actually think one of the hybrids (Pesca/Courage/Jim Gainer Dome) with larger fuel tanks and quicker lap times, will have a trouble free run, and win. I just don't think they'll all break. But which one.....?
(Just edited to agree with Tb and lj. That is the strongest Audi IMO.) |

Plus I canceled the three "other" votes. Please vote again (for #3 if it was your previous intention). |

I really do think that the Audis are going to suffer from their lack of straightline speed, and that all three will have a few more tangles with GTs than they really should.
I'm hoping that one of the Pescas can pull it off, probably #16 (although i think it's the #17 diving inside the Audi on the official poster...) |

I think Champion Audi #2 will still cut it. i did not like Oreca at Spa and the Pesca run out of speed pretty quickly. Creation could challenge them but their reliability does not yet convince me...

We'll probably see a victory for the allmighty Audi, but I would like to see a French-British battle between Creation, Courage, Rollcentre (if miss Ickx drives) and Pescarolo, with a win for Creation, a second place for Rollcentre, a third for Courage, 4th for Pescarolo and only a 5th for the Champion's Audi struck by bad luck. But, probably my dreams are better than what reality will bring us.

flip of a coin between the 2 pescas i reckon, so i went for #16. they seem to have the most complete package out of everyone running hybrid cars, and i'm banking on the old cars to not have enough pace to beat them, even the audi's

I voted for Pesca #16, real fast as Spa. Great driver lineup too. The crowd would go wild if a Pesca won.

Yeah, the crowd will get wild because this year Pesca has the right car, the good performance, enough budget. Only Sebastien Bourdais will be missing. The Spa 1000 km showed how competitive the Pesca will be. The Oreca Audi will definitively be ahead of the Champion one, but not the Pesca.
