Group C/GTP Books

Hello everyone, first post here! I have recently visited Silverstone Classic which I found very enjoyable, looking to go again next year all being well. May even attempt Spa next year, have to get that one past the other half mind.

After seeing some of the Group C cars race and also up close I would like to do some further reading about them. Has anyone any literature they would recommend as a worthwhile purchase, particularly anything technical? Many thanks!

Group C/GTP Books

Welcome to Tenths!!! This is a really good forum, post away and enjoy chatting

I notice you had GTP in the title. If you wanted a really good book about the cars of the IMSA GTP period then Mulsanne Mike has co authored a fantastic book about those cars. It's a very good and technical but still easily understood by those who are not so technically minded such as myself .

Welcome LuBu

I recommend getting a copy of 'The Directory of World Sportscars Group C and IMSA Cars from 1982' by Mike Cotton. Published in 1988, so doesn't include the last of the genre, but very informative.

Moving this to Armchair Enthusiast.

Hi guys thanks for your replies. Wasn't sure where to post this thread. I will have a look at picking up Mikes book as the GTP cars do interest me also.

The Directory book I managed to pick up just the other day, it's a nice little
book and gives a good overview of all the cars. There does not seem to be a huge array of books out there on this particular period, unless I'm not looking hard enough lol!

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
