Nordic closes its doors
Derek Mower has announced the end of Nordic Racing. The team equipment has been sold to I believe Barcelona Racing (are they euro f3000?). Chris has gone to the USA to pursue his engineering career.
Derek says he may attend a few races, but is looking forward to doing other things. A sad end really, they didn't seem to get to grips with the new car as well as Coloni, for example. |

In motorsport news. The team who has bought Nordic's stuff is Barcelona Competition, who will be racing in the main F3000 series, I believe. ST |

It is true the deal is done, ALMOST. The BCN team has just to finalise a few things according to this weeks AUTOSPORT. U never know the deal might not go through - with the BCN team that is, although it appears unlikely.
Although remember anything can happen in motor racing - just ask Tom Walkinshaw. Not trying to start something here just saying it hasnt been confirmed, yet. |

Chris Mower will be team manager of Conquest Racing in CART.
Mario Haberfeld will be the (or one of their) driver(s). |

BCN is a team that is partly owned by Scalabroni, an ex-f1 engineer. another partner is a man from barcelona that has a very bad reputation aparently, so it doesent sound like is going to happend

Well it is a very sad end to a great team. Chris and Derek Mower are two very fine team managers. The team worked very well and I guess it all comes down to money. They ran out of it, and had to give up. It is sad because they had knew the business better than most. I will always remember the short period while we worked together, and I really wish them the best. I really think that Chris will make it bigtime in the US or in F1, he is the most tallented guy I've met in the business of motorsports.
