[V8SC10R25&26] Sydney Telstra 500, Homebush Olympic Park
Here it is. The finale. Who will become the proud owner of the #1 sticker on their rear windows? Will it be the elder mastermen of championship wins; Jamie Whincup or Craig Lowndes or will it be the newbile ones in terms of championship wins; James Courtney or Mark Winterbottom.

Unless I missed something, there are only 3 contenders left...
Current pointscore shows: Mr Courtney 2,932 points Mr Whincup 2,879 points Mr Winterbottom 2,729 points Mr Lowndes 2,567 points I presume the last round has only 300 points on offer.. so she is now a 3 horse championship.. I dont think Mr Whincup will win from the front, and I dont think Mr Courtney will either. It may be a ding dong cliffhanger until the final race of the season! Awesome!! For me.. if Frosty can get the car together, he could clean sweep the races, hoping that the other 2 do less well than him. With a genuine tailgunner in the green FPR car now.. maybe they can just pull it off, if the planets align? |

It will only be between Mr Courtney and Mr Whincup in my opinion. I cant see both of those two DNF'ing, enabling Frosty to take the spoils.
Perhaps the long shot of this round is this surprise announcement: Quote:

No. Ambrose is not coming to Aussie this year. Marcos will be helping RPM to get ready for 2011.

Is there one type of track that favours one driver over another? (tight tracks vs fast tracks)

The reality is, it is a 2 horse race. For frosty to win then bad things have to happen to both guys both days, possible but the liklihood is very low. |

what a great idea,
whacking a v8 on a skate board, very tim the tool man, would once have been awesome at Bathurst (pre nanny state) and an interesting way to reach out to a new audience |

Had a lap of the Homebush circuit today. Is still very much a work in progress with most of the roads still open, but plenty of work going on nonetheless. Recall that after last year there was some talk of altering the corners like the chicane at turn 2 and the exit from the bus stop but both these corners appear the same as last year.

There was also alot of talk from the organisers about being given more freedom to alter the track and it surrounds to make the track more wider and not as tight but a year on nothing seems to have changed.

"It is not Jamie's fault" - Dane
If these guys dominate as they have, in #1 or #888, and still say they have issues, it doesnt say a lot for much of the rest of the field huh |
