Prediction:

R1, Ingram will finish highest of the contenders.
R2, Hill will finish highest.
Sutton's challenge will be over before R3.
In R3, many drivers will let Ingram past, but hold up Hill.
Ingram takes the title. This forum goes into meltdown for a few hours.

That sounds pretty much bang on to me. It was always going to be between Hill and Ingram this year, now that it is TOCA won't mind who wins.

I can see it being like that, unless it's wet then we could see Sutton closing the gap quite considerably.

Mixed about 40% chance of sun/rain both days.

You mean if he wins the title on Sunday, he'll have to wait until 2033 for his second?

I think Jake might have to wait a little longer for his first title.

Assuming no Qualy disasters I could see Tingram wrapping it up by Race 2. I just have more confidence in him knowing how to get it done without taking risks.

Are we thinking this might be Steve Rider’s final event? Think as much was said earlier in the year.

Dan Zelos still looking for sponsors, will be interesting to see if we just get the usual field or if WSR bring the 4th car....

I don’t think anything has been said on the coverage, but there’s been a few rumours as it was implied in an interview after his prostate cancer treatment that he would retire after this year?

I do think this is going to be a memorable Finals Day, and great to see both Porsche titles going down to the wire as well.

I sense we could see a few changes, a new support series of course, and more for 2025. A sort of end of an era this weekend maybe, but a thrilling one nonetheless.

I would assume Louise Goodman would be the favourite to take over as lead presenter, with Paul O'Neill or Jade Edwards (assuming she stays with the ITV team unless she finds a drive) taking over interview duties. Or maybe ITV might want to bring in a new face to head up their coverage.

I certainly don't want to see Steve Ryder departing, but if he did it would add a new element to the rumour mill in silly season

If I had to throw a name out to take over from Steve, it would be Jacqui Oatley.

I would like to see Jade get more TV time, talks a lot of sense , could see Paul and Jade making a decent pairing to front the show if Steve does retire ( which will be sad as he is sports anchor legend at end of day).

Moving onto weekend , notice my lad still has a mathematical chance !!!!! .

But seriously I don’t know Tom Ingram or Jake Hill much , I speak to Simon if we bump into each other.

My take is .. if Jake can get out front he has the package to win it ..

Ingram has the motor to make havoc coming through if he gets “ tagged or has some bad luck “ I don’t think Jake has the package to do that to the level of Tom ( my personal opinion)

Having said that and I agree I could be very wrong I expect the Napa Car to be strong at Brands it’s good in the medium and high speed corners .. it’s a little compromised on acceleration and top speed but it will be very handy out the back at Brands Hatch , I can see a Napa car taking race 1 .. for Ash he has to kind of hope for difficulties for Tom and Jake who are scoring at 40 points a round so it’s a big ask .. good luck to him and all the team and I have no idea and won’t know until Sunday morning what any Napa plans are and as it’s BTCC they tend to go awry anyway ..

I think it will be a very good end to year .. if it’s not a Napa car then my heart says HIll my head says Ingram

Should be exciting

Also these are my personal observations as a motorsport fan and a guy who watches nearly every practice session and race quite often from out on circuit , so it’s what my eyes see after 30 + years in the sport ..

I don't know what ITV see in Paul O Neil (aside from him being related to a bigger name, that's usually enough for that broadcaster) but last meeting he defected to TCR over the live BTCC meeting

I know he's had a foot in both paddocks but I don't think they've ever clashed before, and choosing TCR over BTCC is like choosing your local 5 a side team over a premier league cap, so I dount they'll want to reward him if he's metophorically working for the "other side" no matter how small their grids or poorer their viewing figures

Also the way he squeals any time 2 cars look like they're close to coming together and flips his lid any time there's any accidents make me think no-one has explained to him this is a dangerous sport and the drivers are wearing helmets, safety belts, HANS etc....not sure this sport is for him tbh

BTCC and TCR UK have clashed multiple times over the years and he always prioritises BTCC. He was at Silverstone for BTCC instead of TCR UK at Thruxton.
