Mounting bells for Alcon discs
Hello
I've some alcon discs & calipers i want to fit to my 205, but i'm struggling to find anywhere that can supply the mouting bells. I had hoped to find them off the shelf as I'm not the first person to fit them to a 205... Anyone happen to know of a source? Or, if not, anyone know of a reliable engineering shop that can make some up? Im in the Surrey / SW London area if it makes any difference. Thanks jon |

These guys made some for my kit car -
Chinell Precision Engineering - 01795-430 536 They are in Sittingbourne, Kent but I did it all with phones, faxes and post. They were pretty slow but got there in the end. You need to specify things like chamfers that somewhere like BG Developments would put on automatically. Otherwise ANY little machine shop could do it, and will probably be cheaper (for cash!). Look in the yellow pages. |

Cheers Denis
I dont really know what I'm asking for to be honest, so I'd like someone who knows what they're doing rather than, as you say, finding i have to specify chamfers and the like. Somewhere that I can dump the discs, hubs and calipers then pick up the whole lot a few weeks later would be good Mounting disks arent something I really want to get wrong... Are your "BG Developments" the people i should talk to? Or is this not as big a deal as I think? My floating disc mounting on my bikes arent something I could easily specify for the alcons, but maybe all I want is a piece of circular steel with some holes punched out onto which i can bolt the discs? jon |

How big are are your discs? This is usually the deciding factor on how they should be mounted. Don't worry too much about how difficult it is, it isn't.
You could try BG Development if you just want to dump the disk etc on them but as they are an AP supplier I don't know what sort of response you would get. They can be found on www.bgdevelopments.co.uk. |
