New sponsor for Lites?
I have heard a rumour that an Auto Parts supplier may well take over from Konica Minolta as sponsor of the 'Lites' V8 series.

Left field this one Pete.
Lets examine the posibilities Supercheap.....the current rumours seem to hold water in light of recent events so maybe not. Repco GRM so not them. Autobarn seem to do a little with Lowndes and not much more so maybe them Auto One I did notice that when you look out of Rusties window the sticker does as sat Havoline from Auto One and they have been doing a bit in the drag racing circles. So tehy woudl be a distinct possibility Have I missed anyone. |

I think it is out of the last 2 on your list. Autobarn advertises (sponsors) the V8 telecast as well as supporting Lowndes and Dumbrell for a few so they might not want to do any more. Now the other one is looking good then.

Will that get a certain Formula Ford pilot a gig in that series, with the same branding on his race car?

I heard something about Betta back at Sandown, but didn't give it much thought, as they announced on the same weekend the extended sponsorship of 888.
Have Betta renewed their sponsorship for the Sandown round next year? |

They'd better find someone soon or there won't be a KMV8 or whatever it is next year.

Autobarn isnt in the frame, its not likely that they can support Paul Dumbrell Racing's new team in the main series, as well as fund a series sponsorship....

How nice, another reason not to shop there.
To be reminded of ones own experience in a store such as this, when the peddler of the merchandise doesnt even show the common courtesy to help a customer with a white hot AmEx card in in his pocket that he isnt afraid to use, yet somehow in such a high involvement purchase possibility, the storekeep cant seem to be bothered to make any sort of attempt at empathy and understanding to ensure the customer is sold what suits his needs as opposed to what the best commission allows for, or perhaps more correctly, what is easiest to serve without actually bothering to understand the intent. I am sure it can happen in any store, but bitten twice by the Betta monster makes me weary of the experience, and not sufficiently bothered to want to try again. My local Bing Lee man, who has secured my custom for a good many years, seems to know what is in my future before I do. Mr Tesoriero, you do yourself and your employer a great credit. That Bing Lee do not sponsor motorsports is a moot point... focusing on a motorsport-aligned sponsor for the sake of it, and not getting the service/price equilibrium aligned is ultimately your own personal false economy.... I think I should have a lie down now.... |
