You have a choice,
http://www.rockingham.co.uk should give all the information you need. |

However if you are asking about Turns 1 & 4 then the grandstands go virtually all the way down to the debris fencing; only a small trackside road seperates the grandstands from the track. The viewing is so good you don't need to stand and I doubt very much if any seats will be pre-allocated. Given the size of the Rockingham building and the Turn 1 & 4 grandstands it will be doubtfull if the North and South grandstands will be open, but I could be mistaken. For the 1st ASCAR meeting we had 40,000+ at the circuit and the main grandstands had many open spaces visible then. |

BTCC fans will be very dissapointed with this circuit.Viewing is very distant. You cannot get on the 'road'part at all.Fit only for 200mph oval racing.

Look at it this way, if there's a hum dinger of a battle going on for the lead (or elsewhere) would you prefer to see it only as it flashes by you or is visible for the small portion of the circuit that you can see. Or, watch it for 99% of the lap, every lap. 99% because the track drops out of sight briefly due to the contour changes. It's not as flat as most expect!

Having witnessed two cracking races and having been able to see all of that action continually what are the reactions to The Rock's facilities now. Awesome or just watching dots in the distance!

well I did a bit of everything - watched some qualifying from the pit roof - lovely to see tyre changers etc etc
watched most of the racing from Rockingham building - superb view but a little too far away for my liking. watched clios from the chicane/pit lane wiggle at the bottom of Turn 1 grandstand - way heh - got my fill of close views there. But the seats were uncomfortable, and that lightening was getting closer so we moved. quite impressed |
