Legends Fixture List 2006
Legends seems to be getting better and better every year. Next year will be even better.
John Higgins will defintly be the man to beat. I hope the Legends keep the Knockhill Legends weekend for next year. Such a nice weekend watching the National and Scottish Legends all on the same weekeend. Think they should ditch the 2 Rockingham rounds they had this year as it's really not great for Legends. Perhaps have Lydden Hill and Cadwell Park instead. Idealy id like to see - Mallory Park Full Circuit Brands Hatch - Double Header Oulton Park Knockhill - Double Header Croft Pembrey - Double Header Cadwell Park Lydden Hill Anglesey - Double Header |

It was very good this year to see Legends back at Brands after a too long absence - just to get them down South more often would be great as that's been limited in recent years. If the Brands rounds can be kept (grids clearly won't be a problem) then definitely - if Lydden can be an extra then fantastic! |

I doubt that we will see Legends at Cadwell.
There should be more events at Mallory - it is the spiritual home of Legends in my opinion - ideally on the oval circuit because the action on the full circuit has never quite lived up to that. |

Yes the Mallory Oval was very exciting, espeacially the 2000 season final there when Rob Fountain won the championship.
Come to think about it, think your right about cadwell, think there were some big old crashes at the start of the races in 2004. Would be great to see them come back to Lydden Hill again. I live down south and thing I like about Knockhill, it's so easy to get to by public tranpsort. Has some really polite staff there aswell. |

Legends would be welcome at Lydden, the BARC south east did ask them this year, but the date clashed. Hopefully in 2006 they will make it.

Legends at lydden is a must.
I watched them quite a few years ago there and they were just right on that size of track. Racetec that i think runs about six of them is just down the road in Ashford |

i expect castle combe will miss out yet again!
The legends are one championship that i'd love to see race there...but for some reason it gets overlooked!!!!! Pity really! |

Castle Combe isn't really very well suited to the Legends unfortunately.

Defintly not Castle Combe for Legends, Legends used to always have an away day when the EUROCARS were there.

Surpose it would be worth a try one day. I also don't particuly like Legends at Donington Park.
I think you can't beat - Brands , Knockhill, Mallory and Lydden for Legends. |

They did race on the Woodland circuit in the past I believe, but from what I gather the organisers probably won't be taking them to Lincolnshire again.
I've seen them at Mallory - on the oval and the full circuit - Donington, Anglesey and Croft. Without doubt the Mallory Mile is best for the kind of slipstreaming action that they provide. Anglesey is good, but in a different way. |

Ian-I thought you was a Legend! Are you saying we might see a load of Autosport/MN reporters running round the Mallory mile???

Can you honestly imagine any of us managing to complete a mile?

I drove a Legend a few years ago at Arena Essex. I would have raced on the short ovals, but didn't have the finance at the time. This was organised by Mark Bond of Incarace, an excellent day. The cars have an amazing acceleration and their handling is, lets say interesting !!
Legends at Lydden, thats sounds good. Hopefully BARC can get a date next year. |
