BTCP-Winner?
Well, we are effectively half way through the season and it seems as though there are four contenders for the ultra-competitive Production championship. Who does everyone think will ultimately triumph. As there a couple of other drivers with the speed to do so i'll include them as well.

I have gone with Kaye, as he has driven a Honda since '95, and the car itself is pretty reliable. Overall I think he has more experience than Harrison (although he did race for Pug in BTCC) and the others.

I've gone with me, although if I had a second choice I would go with Mat. The Focus is really coming on now, as we predicted before the start of the season. An important factor in this championship will be engines. James Kaye is already on number 5 and we are not quite half way yet. Simon and Roger are on 3 and 4 and Gavin is also on 5. Mat and I are both on our 2nd. Mine was caused by a punctured radiator which means one failure in 4 cars! The rest have a choice. Continue to buzz engines and lose 15 points for each one, or turn them down and lose BHP. I think it will finish very close. Mat and I also have the advantage of a Knockhill specialist in the team to help us.
Hope to see you all there, although I am afraid that I have a different forum on my site. Thanks to Mark (Minardi fan) for enticing me over. |

Well, I voted for Gavin but I think it's going to be between Simon and James. So I don't know why I voted for Gavin, except for the fact that Bella and I form the mini Gavin Pyper/Gareth Howell Fan Club at Ten-Tenths meetings.

Yep, nice to see you Gareth. And good point about the engine/points situation.

I voted for kaye because he is the most experienced of all of those drivers. He has driven since 1992 and has done well in every season (maybe all except 1995 and 1996). He's also quite quick. I remember he qualified 8th as a privateer in the final round of 1992.
